(a) … in front of him is Marilyn, Bill’s wife. Next to her daughter Rhonda and peeping in to the picture in the lower left is Francis, Allan’s wife. In the white T-shirt Bill, and in front of him daughter Barbara.
(b) … was deserted by his wife, and supposedly took with her whatever money was available and left him penniless. To the left there had been a barn. The property was put up for sale for back taxes and Howard Sr. was successful in buying it at that time. He then allowed Frankie to continue to live out his natural life. Frankie lived in the wing primarily where the kitchen was and is, and there was at least one fire, but fortunately only interior damage. The chimney and fireplace were added after Dad (Howard Sr.) took possession. His renovations included combining the two rooms that were on this side of the house. Currently (1994) the house belongs to Allan, and will become the property of his daughter Sally in the future.
(c) … when Howard Sr. and his brother Allan bought out their sister Etta’s interest in the King Cottage. At that time she and her first husband Harold purchased this house next door for their family.
