Paddle boars await paddlers at Douthat State Park.

Howie and Mark prepare to launch.

Lake Douthat. Our campsite was at the far end.

Beside lakeside sites, the sites were well spaced and not crowded as is so often the case in commercial campgrounds.

Howie on horseback. I had to turn and lean over my saddle, so caught the flank of my horse in the picture.

Douthat’s dam.

The dam, the lake, woods, and mountains. A beautiful setting is Douthat State Park.

The stream that exits from Douthat’s lake.

We are set up in Fairystone State Park.
