Arcibaldo Villani appeared relatively recently in Ken’s neighborhood, but wherever he goes, he leaves behind him a wide wake of misfortune, even misery among Ken’s friends, and among his adversaries too.

He delights in humiliating both young and old, forcing them into submission and degradation. Whether he manages this by the force of his personality or by spreading his considerable riches about, we do not know. What we do know is that when he departs, the others feel soiled, contaminated: they do not understand how they could have knuckled under to his demands.
