Machines everywhere

The environment is pervaded by a multiplicity of machines, not all “infernal”, but many are used in a malign way.

Of course the Jørgensens are mechanical by their nature, but their malignity, their evil, is intrinsic, not coming from their form. Most of the other devices you see here may usually be put to evil uses, but can be turned to good in the right circumstances.
