June 6: Last walking day,
the visit to Badia a Coltibuono

We stayed at the hotel long enough to freshen up and shower, and then drove off to Badia, a former Benedictine abbey (I think the word is short for “abbadia”), which now is a restaurant and winery. We had a nice tour of the caves and a wine-tasting, very pleasant, and it was very pleasing to see the bottles labeled with their vintage years down in the cellar.
