No pictures for this day: neither of us did any photography. We went to various galleries, including one that we had been shooed out of the evening before, when we had walked in at closing time. I was somewhat disappointed in the art we saw. Not at the abysmal level of La Jolla, by any means, but just completely unadventuresome and inoffensive. Art for the tourists, I suppose. The high point of the day, I think, was lunch back at Annie’s. My journal does not mention what we had, but as I recall the meal was much better than anything we had at our hotel.
Back to the hotel after our wanderings, to make sure all our gear was ready for the start of our Big New Zealand Adventure, and to get a good sleep.
