The dinner was boisterous and not all the party favors were tasteless

June 6: Our final dinner together

It was only a short walk from the abbey proper, where we had had our wine tasting, to the restaurant. It was a very pleasant meal, but my journal does not specify what we had. I took lots of pictures of the fun associated with the party game with which we ended the evening. Of greatest interest to the people who were there, I’m sure.

After dinner, we bussed back to Radda for our final stay there. Immediately after breakfast on Saturday, we piled our baggage and ourselves into the bus, for the trip back to Florence. There it was making our farewells, and sharing a cab with Claire and Glenn to the train station. A fairly long trip to Rome, as Mark explains on his page, got us to our hotel around five. I took no pictures that day, so my next page covers the eighth of June, our only full day in Rome.

Pictures from the day after next (no pictures taken on the seventh), first part of this day’s pictures, second part of this day’s pictures, second half of previous day’s pictures, first half of previous day’s pictures. Return to the central Italy page; to the central travel page; to my home page.
