Torres del Paine

afternoon 10 November

Cascada Rio Paine

Writing on 04.11.10.1940 Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia

We rested again at the second lake – Stan and Olivier took naps.

The afternoon portion started by a little backtracking to where a path rose off the vehicle path. I didn’t even see it walking by the other direction.

We continued along the path going through field and forest returning to Laguna Azul. My feet were getting quite sore. I was contemplating dipping my feet in the lake but didn’t like the idea of putting socks over wet feet.

The walk was the first I was glad to complete as my feet were very tired and I had developed a blister on my left foot. When I got on the bus, I sat in the front seat so I could prop my feet up on the rail.
